Attorneys in the Tax Practice Group collaborate with those in the Employment Law Practice Group to counsel clients on the structure of employee compensation and how to maximize long-term wealth accumulation. These attorneys are regularly involved in the following: 

  • Drafting nonqualified deferred compensation (NQDC) plans for taxable and tax-exempt organizations
  • Determining the employment status of workers (employee or independent contractor)
  • Assisting clients with the design, drafting, and implementation of qualified retirement and welfare plans, such as defined contribution plans, profit sharing plans, and employee stock ownership plans
